Chapter Members

Currently our chapter is 9 strong and growing. The women who make up the chapter come from various walks of life, religion and educational background, etc. The unique charateristics we all possess is what makes Stars of Light #34 so great. We all bring something to the table that can be served in the community to all.

Our Work

As a Charitable organization we seek opportunitites within the community that our purpose within the Order of Eastern Stars would best serve. We live in these communities that we service, so our investment in volunteering is greater than most.

Causes

Nationwide there numerous causes that many organizations work with to raise money or bring awareness. We look for causes that our members may or may not have personal investment in, but does affect those in our community. Some organizations include The American Diabetes Association,  Breast Cancer Research Foundation,  The Heart Fund, Big Brother / Big Sister program and  National Stroke Association to name a few.

Elders / Seniors

As a vital piece to our community, Seniors play a crucial role in our Volunteer efforts. Whether a day at center, a luncheon with some, or even a card game or 2 with others. Our interaction with our Elders are crucial for those in the community and should be cherished by all.

Youth

As a mentor for our youth, we provide workshops on Higher Education preperation, Job Readiness and Entrepenership. We welcome partnership with other organizations who look to provide positive influences on our youth as well

Scholarships

Any student who wishes to seek higher education we believe should be able to. Universal Masonic Brotherhood Inc. annually holds an affair known as " Green Tea" nationwide,  to award students scholarship money for school. Our "Green Tea" Event is one of our largest programs in which both our Masonic Brothers and other Eastern Star Chapters participate in. Scholarship money is collected throughout the year through our Fundraiser efforts and donations.

Community service

Our Chapter Annually gives food baskets for the holidays and gifts for children in the Inner City through Toy For Tots. Each Year we participate in our Annual Universal Masonic Brotherhood Inc. Candlelight Event in which it is followed by a toy giveway festival for our youth. Throughout the year Stars of light #34 is aasked to participate in numerous events that give back to the community. We strive to accomodate all request and welcome those in community who ask of our service.
